Since embarking on his career as a building surveyor nearly 20 years ago, John has acquired extensive industry experience and knowledge, applying this across both domestic and commercial projects.
John’s practical solution-based approach to building surveying is augmented by his Domestic Builder-Unlimited registration, which he acquired in 2009. John is a passionate industry advocate who values maintaining positive peer and client relationships.
Mark Rechichi
Director
Bach. Tech. (Building Surveying), Registered Building Surveyor
Mark boasts nearly 20 years of experience in the building surveying industry. After attaining his Bachelor of Technology in Building Surveying at Swinburne University in 2003, he then went on to gain valuable experience working at various private practices.
Over the course of his career Mark has been active in continuing his professional growth, including having studied a Diploma in Access Consulting. Mark is committed to broadening awareness of the building surveying industry through collaboration with his colleagues in the profession.
Lorraine McMahon
General Manager
Lorraine has been a cornerstone of Builde Permits & Inspections for over 10 years, bringing invaluable experience to the team. As General Manager, she works closely with the Directors to oversee all aspects of the business, from HR and accounting to operations and team development.
Her dedication and strategic approach ensure the business runs smoothly. Lorraine’s commitment and impact over the past decade have played a vital role in Builde’s continued growth and success.
Darcy Bowley
Registered Building Surveyor
Darcy has been part of the Builde team for over six years, progressing from Technical Consultant to Senior Technical Consultant before becoming a Registered Building Surveyor in early 2025. Throughout this journey, he has played an integral role in supporting the team and delivering projects to the highest standard.
With a strong focus on client relationships, Darcy values the importance of understanding each project beyond the plans and regulations. His approach ensures that every job not only meets safety and compliance requirements but also reflects the client’s vision.
Angelo Kydas
Technical Consultant
Angelo began his journey with Builde in 2022, starting part-time while completing his Bachelor’s degree in Building Surveying before moving into a full-time role. Since then, he has become an essential member of our team, gaining valuable experience across a wide range of projects and expanding his knowledge along the way.
With a strong passion for the construction industry and an eye for design, Angelo thrives on collaborating with both clients and colleagues to find the best solutions for each project. He particularly enjoys the diverse scope of work at Builde and the opportunity to contribute to projects that bring real value to clients.
Sophie Singleton
Project Administrator
Sophie has been an integral part of the Builde team for the past three years, bringing with her a strong background in the construction industry. As Project Administrator, she plays a key role in supporting our Directors and Building Surveyors while working closely with clients to help them successfully deliver their projects.
With a passion for collaboration, Sophie thrives on building strong client relationships and seeing the transformation of each project from concept to completion. She particularly values the diversity of clients she works with – from partnering with experienced architects to guiding first-time owner-builders in bringing their vision to life.
