About Us

We provide a premium permit service to a range of clients within the building industry – namely architects, builders and home owners – across a broad spectrum of residential and commercial projects, both small and large scale.  We are a small dedicated team and promote an inclusive, fun and easy-going environment, whilst providing an efficient and prompt service for our clients.

PROJECT ADMINISTRATOR

Seeking a full-time Project Administrator to join our team!

The Role

Our ideal candidate is someone committed to becoming a long term contributor to our continued growth and success. The role consists of direct project-related administrative support, including file management and document control, sales and client support, and many more project administration functions. Your role will be varied and integral to the day-to-day functions of the workflow process. You will become a highly essential part of our team, where your efforts will be recognised and appreciated. 

  • Provide direct project-related assistance to the Building Surveyor/Director
  • Prepare and pro-actively follow up fee proposals
  • Deliver exceptional customer service
  • Project file set-up, management & document control throughout the life cycle of the project
  • Submit project-related authority applications
  • Liaise with all stakeholders
  • Scheduling of project-related inspections
  • Drafting of invoices
  • Assist with answering the telephone and dealing with enquiries
  • Establish, maintain and promote positive internal and external relationships
Qualification / Skills
  • Experience working within a professional services office environment (preferably within the construction industry) – minimum 2 years
  • Experience within a sales/service role
  • Excellent client service skills
  • Ability to establish, maintain and promote positive relationships
  • Possess a mature outlook with strong business acumen 
  • Be computer literate and proficient using Microsoft Outlook
  • Must have high attention to detail and accuracy
  • Must have impeccable verbal and written communication skills
  • Must be a lateral thinker, with strong problem solving abilities
  • Must be able to work independently and cohesively within a team
  • Must have excellent time management and organisational skills, and be able to prioritise tasks within a time-sensitive environment

  • To be successful in the role you will need to be confident, highly organised, and have impeccable attention to detail. You need to be able to work successfully within a fast-paced environment and effectively prioritise workload.  Excellent written and verbal communication skills are a MUST.  A strong work ethic and lots of energy is highly essential to this role.  We are seeking a reliable, enthusiastic, and flexible team member, committed to being a long term part of Builde’s success. You should also possess an all-important sense of humour!

QUALIFIED BUILDING SURVEYOR / TECHNICAL CONSULTANT

Seeking a full time Qualified Building Surveyor/Technical Consultant to join our team!

The Role

This is a great opportunity to join an established Building Surveying firm, where your contribution will be valued and recognised.  Our ideal candidate is someone committed to becoming a long-term contributor to our continued growth and success.  You will work closely with the company Directors (RBS) and benefit from direct mentoring. You will be fully encouraged and supported to progress your career to becoming registered.

The successful applicant will require excellent communication skills, be able to effectively prioritise workload in a fast-paced environment and have impeccable attention to detail.  The role consists of the following duties:

  • Assess and prepare building permit documentation for class 1 & 10 and 2-9 projects for review;
  • Attend site inspections with RBS;
  • Liaise both verbal and written with all stakeholders;
  • Provide technical assistance to clients, as required;
  • Carry out relevant building permit administration duties.
Qualification / Skills
  • Demonstrated experience in a similar role (residential and commercial) – Min. 2-3 years experience preferred, but will consider all levels of experience;
  • Completion of relevant Diploma, Advanced Diploma or Degree qualification;
  • Sound knowledge of current Victorian Building Act, Standards and Regulations (BCA/NCC);
  • Computer literate;
  • Excellent written skills;
  • Confident communication skills and client engagement;
  • High attention to detail and accuracy is essential;
  • Organised with the ability to self-manage to meet required deadlines within a fast-paced environment;
  • Dedicated to growing the business name and reputation;
  • Enthusiasm and motivation to grow professionally;
  • Current and valid driver’s licence.

Salary will be commensurate with experience and qualifications.

REGISTERED BUILDING INSPECTOR

The Role

This is a great opportunity to join a successful Building Surveying firm, where your contribution will be valued and recognised.  There also exists a great pathway opportunity to progress your career, if desired, where you will be fully encouraged and supported.

The successful applicant will require excellent communication skills, be able to effectively prioritise workload and have impeccable attention to detail.  The role consists of the following duties:

  • Undertake mandatory inspections – reasonable numbers
  • Prepare and distribute inspection reports
  • Liaise both verbal and written with stakeholders
Qualification / Skills
  • Demonstrated experience as a Building Inspector
  • Relevant registration with the Victorian Building Authority (IN-L or IN-U)
  • Sound knowledge of current Victorian Building Act, Standards and Regulations (BCA/NCC)
  • Computer literate
  • Excellent written skills
  • Confident communication skills and client engagement
  • High attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to work within a team and autonomously
  • Commitment to providing excellent client service
  • Dedicated to growing the business name and reputation
  • Enthusiasm and motivation to grow professionally
  • Current and valid driver’s licence
